CLASSROOM SCHEDULE
“LEARNING THROUGH PLAY" - A typical planned daily routine
FREE PLAY
The children choose from a wide variety of indoor and outdoor play and activities. Materials are changed regularly and are in accordance with current themes, interests and abilities of the children.
MORNING WELCOME AND CIRCLE TIME
The children participate in singing, finger plays, games, movement and music, corresponding with the current school theme.
CENTRE TIME
Children work on an academic concept in a different way in each centre or zone. The children rotate through the week from centre to centre.
SNACK TIME
After hands are washed, the children are seated in small groups as they chat and socialize with each other during snacktime.
OUTDOOR PLAY
The children choose from a wide range of outdoor play and activities with which to start their day.
CLEAN UP
Children and adults work together to tidy up the room.
STORY TIME
Stories are told by adults and children alike.
